Today sees the second anniversary of the Egyptian revolution. Again Tahrir Square is a mass of protestors, not celebrating the revolution, but calling for the downfall of president Morsi.

Twitter feeds from Cairo have reported major clashes all day and there are widespread reports of women being attacked in Tahrir by groups of men.

Latest reports state the army has deployed tanks  to Cairo, Giza, Suez, Ismailia and Port Said.

Report Digital has uploaded three new video rushes today.

November Cairo: One Year On

leave a comment »

One year on from last year’s clashes in Cairo against the military control of the post revolution country, Egypt has seen another week of unrest after democratically elected president Morsi declared absolute rule.

In that violent week of November 2011 it was believed more than 100 people were killed, although the true figure was never known after official sources were accused of manipulating the death toll. During the 18 day 2011 uprising more than 800 were killed.

2012 Rory Peck News Finalist: 2011 London Riots

with one comment

For the second year running I have been short listed for the Rory Peck Trust news awards. In 2011 it was down to the footage shot over the first week of the Egyptian Uprising. This year it is for covering the August 2011 London Riots. The other two finalists in the news section are Roddy Hafiz for his stunning work in Cairo and Mani for his unbeleivable work in Homs, Syria.

On the year anniversary of the London riots ReportDigital got me to go back over the original footage and upload five previously unpublished video rushes from the Tottenham riots. Below is a list of the online library rushes.

2009 London G20 Summit

leave a comment »

1 April 2009 saw the G20 summit land in London. Tens of thousands protested economic and environmental issues as the first bite of the global banking crisis appeared in the UK.

By the end of the first day one man, newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson, was dead after being struck down by a riot police officer. Footage shot by this journalist went on to expose the use of plain clothes police officers deployed inside the demonstration.

ReportDigital has uploaded nine video rushes from the two days of protest, with some previously unpublished footage.
