CLACTON-ON-SEA, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 24, 2014: UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader Nigel Farage addresses a public meeting on September 24, 2014 in Clacton-on-Sea, England. After Douglas Carswell defected from the Conservative Party to UKIP it triggered a by-election on October 9, 2014. Carswell won by gaining 59.7 percent of the vote and became UKIP’s first elected MP.
