Uber Drivers March on London Court of Appeal For Workers Rights

Uber drivers lead a lively 200-strong Precarious Workers protest and march from Transport for London (TFL) offices in Southwark, to the Court of Appeal, where Uber bosses challenge an employment tribunal decision that their drivers should be treated as workers rather than self-employed, London, UK. 30/10/2018.

Independent Workers of Great Britain (IWGB) union branch secretary Jason Moyer-Lee said they wanted companies to obey the law and for the government to enforce the law.

Muhumed Ali of the United Private Hire Drivers (UPHD), a part of the IWGB, said Uber drivers worked 80 hours a week just to earn living and had no support if they were off sick or forced to stop work for other reasons.
